Soodie and Scout have their weekly staff meeting. They remind each other that when they get their first job, they must research the history thoroughly. Without this diligent investigation, the detective may miss vital clues and overlook important facts.3:15 pm:
Soodie sends Scout out to fetch her a skinny cinnamon soy latte. Scout keeps the change. Soodie scans the yellow pages for potential clients.

I can't believe I've been missing this! Please send notification out to your FANS because though it is obvious and we should get with it fast, well... you know.
This is so much fun. I'm showing it to my children to let them see how cool antiques really are! Helpful since they are constantly being dragged around to shows and such. We'll all root for Soodie and Scout - just put a warning about any adult content please!
i've been hiding it up until now. wasn't sure how dumb it was...
thank you for your support!!! this is exactly my intention: to generate interest in different audiences in a different way.
i'll be careful with adult content. still developing the characters -- the dog might be a compulsive smoker. but they do enjoy having a cocktail together after a day of work. the dog is over 21 in dog years.
*i'm reading your post on eileen gray right now and loving it...
YES! I read the Eileen Gray post today and thought two things (libraesque of course). How much I enjoyed the "lesson" and how much the two of you have in common. Soodie & Scout may have to go to Paris with the help of le style and her children. Wouldn't that be fun?
Home, without a doubt! that means 'Scout' should be practicing his français...
Ok I couldn't love this more, main story and bios both.
Soodie you might just be the youthful breeze the world of collecting needs! Soodie and Scout the Nick and Nora of the 21st century?
As for HBD - when I came to a crossroads(one of) in life after studies in art history, I had to decide whether to train at Sotheby's or in textile design. I've had various approaches as a designer but have done historic
re-interpretations and have always stayed close to the world of antiques and collecting. I guess that's what your perceptive eye has noticed.
And Soodie - you know the French adoooore dogs!
Please keep this going, Sood! Thanks for letting us know about it. Can't wait to see what happens! ;-)
David, yeah, went a little off the deep end with the bios.... one tends to think differently after midnight than they do at 9 am. and i write this stuff after midnight... who said nothing good comes after midnight?
Le Style, oh those crossroads. we seem to have a had a similar crossroad. i was torn between christie's when they had a program through univ. of glasgow or moving to LA for 4-yr program in ID. (i regret my choice.) i really enjoy reading your blog. oh, and i LOVE nick and nora and their dog astor. oui oui, i think Scout is going to love france. perhaps he needs a little chapeau to wear when he is there. maybe grow a pencil moustache. they just need a case and an excuse to go.
Griff, thank you. i will keep going, just not so sure when the telephone will ring yet and when they will get their first client!
